After returning from the war, Clint Barton takes a job as an agent with a new, top secret project called the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He receives a mission to take out a mob bosses daughter; the dangerously beautiful Natasha Romanoff, known for her skills at hand combat in a flapper dress and her lethal way of convincing men to do whatever she wants. But in a bar in Chicago, Clint makes a different call and the two become partners, charged with the protection of a city of discontent and sin.
